Lucky Hammer
The Lucky Hammer is a fully custom, hand-built rotary tattoo machine crafted from solid brass and steel.
The motor has been redesigned by the manufacturer to squeeze all available torque out of it.
Every part of this machine has been refined through daily use in the studio. It’s the same machine I use for everything: lining, shading, and colour-packing.
While it handles lining perfectly fine for my needs, Lucky Hammer wasn’t designed as a traditional liner — so if you’re looking for the snap and punch of a coil machine, this isn’t that.
What it offers instead is smooth performance, low vibration and low noise which combined with a weight of just 144 grams and design that makes it extremely well balanced in the hand, makes for a super comfortable experience during the kind of long sessions I work everyday.
It’s very similar in feel to a direct drive and has a 4.7mm stroke which I find works really well for all my needs.
I wanted the machine to be repairable and it’s been designed so that swapping a motor is a very easy process you can do yourself. I will also be offering full service and parts replacement service making this a machine for life.
